Milepost 5: Lofts
Milepost 5 is an adaptive re-use project located in Portland's Montavilla neighborhood. As acting developer, Beam has partnered with the Portland Affordable Housing Preservation Trust to redevelop the former Baptist Manor retirement community into an artist's live/work community.
Designed by Works Partnership Architecture, Milepost 5's Lofts, offers 40,000 square feet of live/work condominiums for artists. Re-use highlights include seismic upgrading,the addition of an penthouse floor and the replacement of existing infrastructure.
