Historic Fairmount Apartments
Beam purchased the Historic Fairmount Hotel in 1999. Erected in 1904 for the Lewis and Clark Exposition, this 40,000+sf building had fallen into a state of disrepair, before Beam undertook it's complete renovation and refurbishment. Beam completed the rehabilitation of the Historic Fairmont in 2001. The redevelopment focused on maintaining the historic integrity of the building, thereby allowing for it's placement on the National Register of Historic Places. Currently, the Historic Fairmont Apartments provide affordable rental housing in NW Portland, with 80 units consisting of studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.
